Roaming around the iTunes iApp store, watching Shoebox for a while, I couldn’t decide if I want to download it, so it took me longtime to see what it was.
The description of it had intrigue me, and I knew if I download it - there would be a huge a mount of work tied to it. WHY ???

Because you have to find all your photo from the past and start scanning it in to the website 1000memories, and I tell you all - I did not regret any second of it. I have been lucky that my whole family is very interested in our past and were our ancestors came from, so I have detailed informations dating back to the early 1600, and amount of old photos of people I don’t know. I still have my dad he is 73 years old , and I will teach him to sit and write all the names into the webpage.

The iPhone app - Shoebox - help you with scanning pictures directly to your account on 1000memories which make it so much easier to just take some pictures at your grandparents,- or relatives house, without taking the physical picture with you. Im really impressed .





1000memories.com’s interface is very simple and you can’t get i wrong. To the left there is six small boxes ; photo, document, audio, story, video and quote . On the top; tags, uploads and family tree. Tags are all the picture you or your family tagged you in .
Uploads are all the stuff YOU uploaded and family tree you and your family can make one big family tree, all you add on the tree will get theire own site.
ex. I uploaded my dad, If I want to write a story about my dad I wanted to share , I click on him on the tree (or use the search field) , and ad a story about him. It will stay on his site for other family members can read your story about him, and it will pop up on your uploaded site.
There is no limit for all the memories you can keep there from the past till the present , and so you grand children and generation after generations after you will remember you , and they will know where they come from .
